These are sophisticated and perfectly understated but definitely still very special.

I have featured a similar shoe before but I adore these in the brown. They feel rich and definitely unexpected. Plus there is the whole "wrapped up like a present" vibe.

Ok-it's important that I state up front that I despise Paris Hilton and anything to do with her but obviously whoever she has designing shoes for her line knows what they are doing. I love these! They feel very Studio 54 which is never a bad thing. Seriously, you had to be pretty awesome to get into Studio 54.

for the brave and beautiful

I don't know if I would have the guts to wear these. I hope so, I think I 'd need to try them on. I would however pay homage to any woman who did. They look like a lot of fun to wear.

I really, really want these. So perfect with almost anything! Sparkly and sleek. I will be coveting these all day.

All the rage among the stroller set in Hollywood are Lelli Kellys. You have to admit they are prettty adorable. Tomorrow I'll show their other classic style. They are far too fussy for an adult but I know several little pricesses who would do backflips for a pair of these. I would have.

If you happen to live near a Von Maur or possibly Nordstroms (they are the same company) all those great Betsey Johnsons that we featured last week for polka dots are in the clearance room. Hooray!

Ohhhh- these are soo cute! Quick-someone buy them so I can admire them on your lovely daughter's feet. I would have done very naughty things (you know like decorating the furniture with nail polish or something) when I was a peanut had these been the reward. As it was I was very good and no one gave me a pair of these lovely boots.

Since the fans of this blog, though devoted, are few I still take requests and this one has been mentioned several times so here you go. This week we are admiring shoes for girls, you know, little girls. For those of you who are howling in frustration to have to spend a whole week with shoes that do not fit you, be patient, next week is party shoe week.

Oh Betsey- you have perfected the art of the polka dot. I am aching to wear these to a holiday party. ACHING!

It's Betsy J. again and I have to tell you this isn't the last time you'll see her this week. The woman knows her way around a polka dot. As evidenced by these, they make me wish I was some sort of high powered exec. I would wear these with my suits. Still, I'm sure they'd also be fab for Friday's date night.

We all know I love blue but the bow and lacing on the back of these makes my heart go pitter-patter.

hot for dots

Love these. They would fall into the rotation often at my house because they would be the perfect, unexpected element to lots of outfits. Heaven forbid we ever be boring.

Do these not make you want to slap on a little red lipstick and wave your hair? Perfect 40's pin-up shoes. I want to wear them to a stuffy party with a grown up lbd.

Oh, Betsey Johnson (via her Betsteyville line), how do I love thee, let me count the ways. These make me so happy. They are just delightful, you know like creme brulee done exactly right.

Lately, I have had a craving for polka dots. Maybe boring winter is making me wish for something a little whimsical. At any rate welcome to polka dot week!

red hot-shoe of the week

You must, must, must have a great pair of reds. Any shape you want but I recommend a heel. They are remarkably versatile, they'll go with anything, given the right attitude. You will never feel as sexy as you do wearing a great red shoe.

needing nude

Nudes are a requirement. They can be worn with anything and make your bare legs look a million miles long. This is never, ever bad.

bold brights

I realize that this is a personal preference but I think it's necessary to have lots of bright colored ballet flats. They are practical and oh so delightful, all at the same time. Even better with a few special details. They are the love of my shoe life.

flat-footed

This is new to my must -have list but I stick by my decision. I think you must have a great flat boot. It's a little more casual than a heeled boot. They are more comfy and let's face it, more practical.

party on

Next on the list, a metallic party shoe. The metallic neutrality guarantees that they will match just about any fancy outfit you can find and add just a touch of sparkle at your feet. Always sexier and more interesting than basic black for a special occasion. (Carrie these are perfect for your red dress!)

booted out

We all need a great pair of tall boots. A pair with perfect lines and soft leather. We just do.

back in black

Every woman must have a great pair of black pumps (or three). These are lovely. Sleek, shiny and perfect. They make almost any outfit feel chic.

back to basics

Well girls, it's time to get back to basics. This week will feature shoes every woman should have a version of in her closet, according to me. These are the building blocks of a lovely shoe wardrobe.

Umm, k, Alexander McQueen, I don't really know even where to start either these. I am, however, pretty sure, that my life insurance policy doesn't allow me to wear anything like this. Pity.
